Introduction to Studio Lighting. This class is centered around studio product lighting using both tungsten studio lights and electronic flash (power pack and monolights). The class demonstrates how to meter for various ligting, handle exposure using compensation factors, how to handle different types of lighting such as glass, metal, portraiture, and various product still life. The student must demonstrate set building skills and beging to demonstrate competencies in photographic style through the subject choice, use of composition, color and approach to the subjects photographed. Tungsten transparency, daylight transparency, AGFA SCALA B&W transparency and B&W negative film are used.
